Weather forecasts predicted strong southeasterly winds for Wednesday afternoon and Thursday in our area reaching 30-40 knots on Thursday. So we had to skip our original plan to go to Lastovo island. Instead we headed back to Mljet.

Halo effect, which is often predicts upcoming rain and thunderstorms. Lets see ..!

We chose to moor our boat in Okuklje, a small harbor on the northwestern end of Mljet. We berthed at the first peer in the bay belonging to Konoba Maestral. The natural harbor basin of Okuklje is extremely beautiful. Surrounded by rather steep and wooded hills the water there has a deep turquoise color is very clear. I immediately took a bath as sun was intense today. Later we had dinner and a good talk to the owner of
Konoba Maestral.
